Obituary for Danielle C. McGlashon

Following a very brief illness, Danielle C. McGlashon, 29, of Gibsonia, PA, passed away in her sleep early on June 28, 2014, with her loving boyfriend of six years, Adam Bergamasco, by her side.

Danielle was born in Waterloo, IA in 1985 and is the daughter of Ruth Brantsen, of Albuquerque, NM, and Michael McGlashon, of Denver, PA.

Danielle graduated from Warwick High School in 2003. She then attended Duquesne University, graduating with distinguished honors in 2007, receiving her degree in accounting. Danielle then went on to become a CPA, having worked at KPMG, Federated Investors, and currently at PNC Bank in Pittsburgh.

Danielle was the Treasurer on the board of the Gamma Phi Beta Corporation, a sorority she enjoyed throughout college. Danielle also loved reading, spending time with friends and family, and bonding with her loyal cat, Dexter.

In addition to her parents, Danielle is survived by her sister, Emily, recent wife of Ryan Sowers of Philadelphia, PA, a brother, Jacob McGlashon of Iowa City, IA; her stepmother Tammy McGlashon, stepsister Lindsey Kern, and stepbrother Dalton Kern, of Denver, PA; paternal grandparents, Richard and Janice McGlashon of Winter Springs, Florida; maternal grandparents Bill and Wilma Brantsen of Sioux Center, IA, her boyfriend Adam Bergamasco of Pittsburgh, her furry friend Dexter and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends from all stages of her life.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 2, from 6 to 8 pm, at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver, PA. An additional viewing will be held on Thursday afternoon, July 3, from 1 to 2 pm, at the funeral home, followed by funeral services held at 2 pm, with her uncle, Reverend Sherwin Brantsen, officiating.

Contributions may to be made to a memorial fund for Danielle McGlashon to be donated to an appropriate research fund when the cause of her death has been determined. Specific details will be available at roseborostradling.com.
