Obituary for Arthur William Wallace

Arthur William "Bill" Wallace, 74, of Reinholds, made his journey to heaven on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.

He was born in Gap, PA, son to the late William Wade and Cora Pauline (Nixdorf) Wallace and was the husband of Jennifer (Burns) Wallace for 24 years.

Bill served 8 years in the U.S. Army. He was employed in the maintenance department at the Ephrata Walmart, and formerly worked for Liberty Homes in Leola, and J.C. Valenties in Tampa, FL.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters, Cheryl Ann (Robert) Hites of Maxwell, IA, Christine Marie Chapman (Richard) of Des Moines, IA, and Laura M. Wallace of FL; a step-daughter, Shannon Hupp (Virgil Myers); 2 adoptive sons, Samuel W. Wallace and Juan Alvarez, both of Florida; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Betty) Wallace of Lancaster; a sister, Betty Heisey of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by 2 children, Sarah and Patrick Michael Hupp; 4 brothers, Edward, James, Larry and Clarence "Sonny" Wallace; and 3 sisters, Miriam and Grace Wallace, and Mary Coble.

Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

If desired, memorial contributions in Bill's memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17552, or to the Ephrata Cancer Center, 460 North Reading Road, Ephrata, PA 17522.
