Condolences

Condolence From: Meg and Ryan Massey
Condolence: Ryan and I moved next door to George and Susan last year. Though we did not know him well, we were always struck by his kindness and willingness to help his neighbors. During the harsh winter last year, George removed snow from our sidewalk. This was a huge blessing to me (Meg) since my husband is usually away during snowstorms since he does snow removal for a local college, and I had our young daughter to care for. In the warmer months, George often sat on his front porch and it was nice to see him smile and wave when we came home from work. He always said hello and made us and our daughter smile. We will miss seeing him and talking to him. Our prayers are with Susan and the rest of his family during this time.

Condolence: The dictionary defines a neighbor as "a person who shows kindliness or helpfulness toward his fellow humans." This was George to a tee. George was a true neighbor. We've had the good fortune to live across the street from George for the past 14 years, and will always remember with great appreciation the way he would not hesitate to help his neighbors in any way, from helping us to fix a lawnmower, to lending a tool, to snowblowing the sidewalks up the street. We will miss his genuine friendliness, warm soul, and his smiles and waves from his chair on the front porch. Sincere sympathies to Susan, girls and other loved ones.

Condolence: George... I knew you as a funny, clever and musically gifted brother. I learned from you more than either of us could imagine. You had a big wonderful life with your devoted wife Susan, and Jenny and Amy, to whom our sympathy is sincerely sent. Many hearts were touched by the flowering of your faith and shared musical gifts. We all take with us fond memories of your presence. Though we have lived our lives on different parts of the globe our family will miss you. The consolation of our parting lies within the words and deeds of your life. I pray that you may be at peace in the serenity and dignity that you so richly deserve.

Condolence From: Rev. Nancy Miller
Condolence: So sad to hear of George's death, but it was also very sad when he became too sick to share his beautiful gift of music. He shared his talented music ministry with several churches I served in Eastern PA Conference, and I appreciated his friendship. So sad to have lost touch with him in these last few years I've been on extension ministry in southern NJ. May God's light still shine amidst the darkness of grief.

Condolence: Our condolences go out to George's family. George played several times at my church in Telford, PA and we fell in love with him. I even brought my very traditional, catholic grandmother with us, and she really enjoyed the evening with his music ministry! He was truly gifted and inspirational with his gift. Thank you for allowing him to share it with us! Our prayers go out to you during this time of human grief.

Condolence: Susan and girls -- my thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of loss. Reverand Darby was an inspiration to me and my family. I enjoyed following Fresh Faith Gospel Ministry and his guitar playing and singing.
