Mary Alice Hassler, 88, of Reamstown, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Fairmount Homes in Ephrata.

She was born in Denver to the late Harry B. and Kathryn G. (Grimes) Sweigart and was the wife of Paul D. Hassler, Jr., who passed away in 2009.

Mary Alice is survived by a daughter, Bonnie L., wife of Donald K. Scott, Jr. of Raleigh, NC; a granddaughter, Rebecca S., wife of Steve Baker of Hampstead, NC; a grandson, Jeremy L., husband of Teresa L. Scott of Zebulon, NC; 3 great-grandsons, C.J., Zack and Cole Watkins.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Donald K. Scott III, and 2 brothers, William Rudolph Sweigart and Kenneth R. Sweigart.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014, from 10 to 11 am at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am, with Pastor Stephen Hollinger officiating. Interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Mary Alice's name may be made to the Fairmount Homes Sharing Fund, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, PA 17522.
