Richard Armistice Reinhold, Sr., 86, of Ephrata, formerly of Reinholds, entered into rest on Sunday, October 26, 2014, at the Ephrata Manor.

Richard was born in Reinholds to the late Samuel G. and Helen (Gelsinger) Reinhold.

Gordon, all of Reinholds; 4 grandchildren, Benjamin and Joshua Reinhold, Chelsea and Ian Gordon; 2 great-grandchildren, Jayden and Kohlton Reinhold; his companion, Pauline Fenstermacher of Ephrata; and a sister, Ruth E. Binner of Lititz.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Maryann Reinhold; and a sister, Rosella F. Smith.

Richard served as a corporal in the 70th Engineer Combat Battalion Company C during the Korean War.

Richard was a master woodworker and mechanic. At the age of 16 he built his first car, and also helped to build the Galen Hall Golf Course. Richard was a self employed contractor building houses for over 30 years. He also built a forklift, payloader, and many machines to assist in this business. Building the Shady Grove Miniature Golf Course, Ice Skating, and Campground, for which he built the "Shady Lady" riverboat, was the start of one of two family businesses. He later started the 2nd family business, Reinholds Restorations, in 1975. Together they proceeded to restore over 200 local and national antique and classic car winners. Richard was an avid roller skater, motorcycle rider, and he could dance anyone under the rug. He loved motorcycle, stock car, and Indi and Nascar racing. Until he hung up his hammer, he had built numerous wood and metal toys.
