Obituary for Arthur L. ""Babe"" Hollinger

Arthur L. ""Babe""  Hollinger
Arthur L. "Babe" Hollinger, 69, of Stevens, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015, at Ephrata Community Hospital.

He was born in Reinholds to the late Miles J. and Mabel (Steinmetz) Hollinger, and was the husband of Susan A. (Fornwalt) Hollinger, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.

Arthur was a lifelong resident of the Denver-Ephrata-Stevens area. He was a First Responder with the Reinholds Ambulance, and a Boy Scout Leader's Aide in Denver. He enjoyed carpentry work, and was a big fan of NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He loved his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his 2 dogs, Heidi and Hunny.

Arthur worked as a service representative for the Skyline Corp., retiring in 2007. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a Veteran of The U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam Era.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 children, Jennifer L. Zeiset of Denver, Sueanne L. Miller of Stevens, Richard M. husband of Stacey Hollinger of Denver; Melissa R. wife of Michael Minney of Ephrata; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Alvin Hollinger of Lititz and John Hollinger; and 3 sisters, Helen Walker of Berlin, Mary Heil of Ephrata, and Shirley Gehr of Ephrata.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mia Isabella Barbosa; 6 brothers, Charles, Earl, James, Robert, Harold, and William; and 2 sisters, Elizabeth and Anne.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015, from 4 to 6 pm at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. An additional viewing will be held on Monday, from 10 to 11 am, at the funeral home, where funeral services will follow at 11 am, with Reverend Galen Hackman officiating. Interment will take place in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Springs, PA.
