Obituary for Gary L. Balmer

Gary L.  Balmer
Gary L. Balmer, 57, of Stevens, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015.

He was born in Ephrata to Glenn E. Balmer, of Stevens, and the late Leah M. (Musser) Balmer.

Gary was a member of the Independent Christian Church. He loved the outdoors, camping, hiking, hunting, and going to Tioga County. He also enjoyed spending time with his niece, Nicolle and husband Dustin; great-niece, Braelin; and nephew, Ryan.

Gary worked as a welder for many years.

In addition to his father he is survived by 2 sisters, Linda K., wife of Quin Jones of Sinking Spring, and Debra J., wife of Donald Meckley of Ephrata; and a brother, Russell L., husband of Kathy Balmer of Lititz.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, from 1 to 2 pm at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver, where memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Charles Shifflett officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Gary's memory may be made to Middle Creek Wildlife Management Assoc., c/o PA Game Commission 2001 Elmerton Ave, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
