Lina L. Thomas, age 68 of Ephrata, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

She was born on February 26, 1947 in Smock, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Ida Thomas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Ronald E. Thomas and Daniel R. Thomas, both of Uniontown.

She graduated from the former North Union High School in Uniontown. She was a member and bartender at the Ephrata Amvets Post 136. She also worked at Bowman's Hat Factory and MiJan's. Lina loved her oldies and dancing. She loved going on vacations, watching old movies, and watching NCIS crime shows. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and loved coming back home to Uniontown to be with her family. She was always the life of the party.

She is survived by her loving son Robert L. Curtis II and his father Robert L. Curtis Sr.; siblings, Gloria Kostelnik, Charlene, wife of Wilbert Blackstone, Charles Thomas, Ada,wife of Robert Clark, Lelia Thomas, Barry, husband of Ramona Thomas, Bruce husband of Ida Thomas, all of Uniontown, and Samuel, husband of Jodi Thomas of Ephrata; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A viewing will be held on Monday, April 20, from 5 to 8 pm, at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata. An additional viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 21, from 11 am to 12 pm, at the funeral home, followed by her funeral service at 12 pm. Interment will take place in Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
