Obituary for Harry K. Brown

Harry K. Brown, 66, of Akron, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015, at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Harry and Virginia (Brown) Breniser and was the husband of Edith Marie (Sames) Brown.

Harry was a proud veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. Before retirement, he spent most of his life driving truck. He was best known to the world as "Gramps." He coached softball for the Akron Mustangs for years, enjoyed woodworking and his beloved dog Spencer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Derek Brown; a daughter, Nadine Brown; stepchildren, Julie Cross, Brenda Henry and Eric Schutter; one of his greatest accomplishments and loves of his life, his grandchildren, Heidi Crawshaw, Courtney Lewis and Bree Longenecker "Be-Bop".

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a step son, Todd Kulishoff.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
