Obituary for David H. Fox

David H. Fox, 98, of Ephrata, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015, at his residence.

He was born in Earl Township to the late David M. and Mary Ann (High) Fox and was the husband of the late Ellen N. (Hoover) Fox.

A farmer, David was a member of New Holland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

He is survived by 8 children, Harvey, husband of Katie (Weaver) Fox of Denver, Laura Fox at home, David, husband of Alta (Nolt) Fox of Ephrata, Ada, wife of Melvin Leid of Newville, Anna Mae, wife of Adin Zimmerman of Narvon, Norman, husband of Louella (Horst) Fox of Shiloh, OH, Ellen Fox at home, Clarence, husband of Alma (Nolt) Fox of East Earl; 2 daughters-in-law, Minnie (Zimmerman) Fox, and Edna (Martin) Fox, both of Ohio; 63 grandchildren; 237 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Alice, wife of John Rissler of Leola and Edith Bailey of Lititz.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sons, Willis, Raymond and Marvin Fox; a daughter, Alma Fox; 1 great-grandson; 6 brothers, Ivan, Harvey, Raymond, John, Floyd, Henry; 5 sisters, Fannie, Edna, Mary Ann, Lydia and Emma.

A viewing will be held on Monday, July 27, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, at the late residence, 2411 Division Highway, Ephrata. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 28, at 8:45 am, from the late residence, with further services at 9:30 am, at the Weaverland Frame Mennonite Church, with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
