Obituary for David "DJ" Smucker Stoltzfus Jr.

David "DJ" Smucker  Stoltzfus Jr.
David "DJ" Smucker Stoltzfus, Jr., 25, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Lititz, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at his sister’s residence in Lancaster.

He was born in Lancaster to David S. and Nina K. (Yoder) Stoltzfus of Sarasota, FL.

DJ attended the Worship Center, Lancaster. He was a 2008 graduate of Warwick High School and a 2012 graduate of Bloomsburg University, earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting. DJ had worked at Detweiler’s Farm Market, Venice, FL as a deli clerk and had also worked at The Coffee Company in Lancaster as a cook and at the barista bar. An avid sports fan, he loved fishing, basketball, football and had recently attended several baseball games. He was a Chicago Cubs and a Chicago Bears fan. DJ loved life and lived it to the fullest.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Tonya Y., wife of Christopher Menges of Lancaster; a niece, Morgan Menges of Lancaster and many friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, Luque Jordan Petersheim.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 27, from 2 to 4 pm, at the Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 5:30 pm, with Pastors John Smucker and Sam Smucker officiating. An additional viewing will follow the service until 9 pm. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family would prefer memorial contributions in "DJ"'s memory be made to Revelations of Freedom Ministries, 1075 E. Main St., Blue Ball, PA 17506.
