Obituary for Raymond W. Nolt

Raymond W. Nolt, 94, of Stevens, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015, at his residence.

He was born in Earl Twp. to the late Aaron and Mary (Weaver) Nolt and was the husband of Katie W. (Snyder) Nolt.

He was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference), was a farmer and parts cutter for Sun Line Corp.

In addition to his wife, Raymond is survived by 8 children, Anna, wife of Jesse Brubacher of Denver, Paul H., husband of Mary (Rissler) Nolt of East Earl, Melvin H., husband of Anna (Zimmerman) Nolt of Plymouth, OH, Titus H., husband of Sara (Leid) Nolt of Penn Yan, NY, Mary, wife of Harvey Martin of Penn Yan, NY, Mabel, wife of Paul Brubaker of Oconto, WI, Harvey H., husband of Lydia (Leid) Nolt of Ephrata, Eva H. Nolt of Webbville, KY; 4 stepchildren, Harvey S. Sauder of New Holland, Irene Haas of New Holland, Ruth Ansel of Stevens, Esther McGill of Villa Nova; 70 grandchildren, many great granchildren and great great grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren, several great step- grandchildren and great great step- grandchildren; 4 siblings, Anna Mary Burkholder of Ephrata, Edwin, husband of Katie Nolt of Ephrata, Willis, husband of Emma Nolt of Manheim, Emma (Nolt), wife of Jonas Reiff of Ephrata; sister in law, Martha R. Nolt of New Holland; brother in law, David M. Zimmerman of Ephrata.

He was preceded in death by first wife, Eva (Hurst) Nolt; son, Leroy Nolt; daughter, Laura Nolt; 3 brothers, Weaver Nolt, Allen Nolt, Aaron Nolt; sister, Esther Zimmerman and 4 grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, at Harvey Nolt residence, 382 Hahnstown Rd., Ephrata. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at 9 am, at the Harvey Nolt residence, with further services at 9:30 am, from the Martindale Old Order Mennonite Church, Martindale, with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will follow at the Adjoining Church Cemetery.
