Arletta P. Gerhart, 84, of Ephrata, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015, at Ephrata Manor.

She was born in Ephrata to the late Howard and Ada (Grube) Bingeman and was the wife of the late Jacob D. Gerhart.

Arletta graduated from Ephrata High School in 1949, worked in the office for Doneckers for 30 years, was a church organist for 45 years, attended the Christian Fellowship Church, New Holland, attended Ephrata Cocalico Christian Women's Club, enjoyed crocheting and rug hooking, volunteered at Hospice and Community Care for 11 years and played handbell choir at Ephrata Manor.

Arletta is survived by 2 daughters, Lucinda D., wife of Larry E. Ritter of Ephrata, Kathleen F., wife of Larry F. Leach of Brandon, England; 2 grandchildren, Laura and Lena Ritter; brother, Ronald E., husband of Carolyn Bingeman of Brookhaven.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015, from 9 to 10 am, at the Donecker Chapel at Ephrata Manor, 99 Bethany Road, Ephrata, followed by her funeral service at 10 am, with Dr. Doug Bozung officiating. Interment will take place in the Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
