Peggy A. Singley, 79, of Akron, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.

She was born in Ephrata to the late Robert and Mabel (Wise) Royer and was the wife of Larry L. Singley, whom she was married to for 62 years.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Akron, the Friendly Circle and the Red Hat Society in Florida. Peggy enjoyed Disney World, traveling in the motor home, cooking for family and friends, spending time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed the company of her pet dogs. Peggy worked as a secretary for Hope United Methodist Church for 10 years and Ford New Holland for 30 years.

In addition to her husband, Peggy is survived by daughter, Sheri L., wife of Mark Croushore of Marienville; grandchildren, Eric Singley, Dara Kirk (John), Jodi Eller (Tim), and Ryan Asquith; 7 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, William W., husband of Helen Royer of Akron, J. Kenneth, husband of Rachel Royer of Akron.

She was preceded in death by son, Scott L. Singley; 3 brothers Charles E., Robert S. and Larry E. Royer; sister, Elizabeth Martin.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 10:30 am, at the Zion Lutheran Church, 435 Main St., Akron, with Pastor Matthew Lenahan officiating. The receiving of family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
