Obituary for Willard H. Gehman

Willard H.  Gehman
Willard H. Gehman, 85, of Lancaster, formerly of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Homestead Village.

He was born in Adamstown to the late Ivan and Sallie Gehman and was the husband of the late Margaret (Werner) Gehman who died on February 22, 2015.

He was a member of the Lancaster Alliance Church. He enjoyed reading, word searches, and traveling in his earlier years.

Willard served in the US Army during the Korean War. He formerly worked for Yellow Freight and retired in 1995.

Willard is survived by a son, Randy A., husband of Loretta (Good) Gehman of Lancaster, a daughter, Kathy, wife of William Stanley of Ephrata; 3 grandchildren, Andrew Gehman, Bethany Gehman, and Laura Thornton; 2 great-grandchildren, Leslie and Brian Miller; and a sister, Arlene Justice of Adamstown.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Enck.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016, from 6 to 7 pm at Lancaster Alliance Church, 210 Pitney Road, Lancaster. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm, with Reverend Carl McGarvey officiating. Private family interment will take place in the Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
