Obituary for Paul M. Martin

Paul M. Martin, 77, of Stevens, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at his residence.

He was born in Earl Township to the late Edwin S. and Elizabeth W. (Martin) Martin and was the husband of Susan B. (Zimmerman) Martin with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.

He was a member of Springville Mennonite Church, Ephrata. Paul was a Farmer.

In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by a stepmother, Eva (Martin) Garman of Denver; 3 sons, Walter, husband of Wilma (Zimmerman) Martin of Stevens, Harold, husband of Angie (Martin) Martin of Reading, Richard, husband of Mabel (Weaver) Martin of Reinholds; 5 daughters, Jane, wife of Arnold Sensenig of Stevens, Rachel, wife of Kenneth Weaver of Wooster, OH, Carol, wife of Gary Zimmerman of Ephrata, Marie, wife of Brian Weaver of Manheim, Julia, wife of Merle Hurst of Robesonia; 46 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, John Martin of Ephrata, Elvin, husband of Lois Martin of Lititz; 4 sisters, Elizabeth, wife of Amos Nolt of Peach Bottom, Florence, wife of Harry Mast of Broadway, VA, Anna, wife of Ivan Weaver of Barnette, MO, Lydia, wife of Edward Good of Ephrata; 2 sisters-in-law, Etta Martin of Holtwood and Lorraine Martin of Manheim.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Eva Martin; 2 brothers, Edwin Martin, Samuel Martin and a sister-in-law, Verna Martin.

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Midway Mennonite Reception Center, 210 E Lexington Rd, Lititz. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at 8:45 am with further services at 9:30 am, at the Springville Mennonite Church, 580 Springville Road, Ephrata, with Bishop Melvin Martin officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
