Vera M. Shreiner, 89, of Akron, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Conestoga View.

She was born in Lebanon to the late Jonas Martin Ranck and Bertha (Eppley) Schepp and was the wife of Elmer Shreiner Jr. with whom she shared 68 years of marriage.

Vera was a sewing machine operator.

In addition to her husband, Vera is survived 2 sons, Terry L., husband of Gail Shreiner of Maryland, Dale R., husband of Kimberly Shreiner of Lititz; 6 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Shreiner; a great-granddaughter and a brother, George Ranck.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 N. Ninth Street, Akron, followed by graveside services at 11:30 AM, at the Rothsville Lutheran Cemetery, 36 Church St., Rothsville, with Father John McLoughlin, CSSR, officiating.
