Gordon Lee Steely, 70, of Denver, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at Select Specialty Hospital.

He was born in Ephrata to the late Leroy and Laura (Steely) Landis and was the husband of the late Bonnie L. (Werner) Steely.


Gordon was a stone mason. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching wrestling and all things tractors.

Gordon is survived by 3 children, Gordon L. Smedley, Tina M. Steely, companion of Bill Knaby II, Tammy Lee Burd, companion of Gregory L. Walker; 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth Bonnie, wife of Jason Marencic, Victoria Bonnie Knaby, Nicholas Alexander Burd; 2 brothers, Leroy Landis, II, and Donald Landis.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016, from 1 to 2 PM, at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata, followed by funeral services at 2 PM, with Pastor Timothy Craven officiating. Interment will take place in the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Stouchsburg.
