Mary Eileen Rutter, 81, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Hamilton Arms Center.

She was born in Blue Ball to the late Henry and Mary (Ruth) Rutter.

As a child she attended Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church.

Mary worked for the former Penn Field. She loved to read.

Mary is survived by a brother, Henry Ronald, husband of Pearl (Nolt) Rutter of Ephrata; a sister, Adella "Sissy" Vierling of Ephrata; several nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia L. Gantz and an infant brother.

Interment will be private.
