Obituary for Patsy R. Whirt (Houser)

Patsy R.  Whirt (Houser)
Patsy R. Whirt, 87, of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Gardens at Stevens.

She was born in East Petersburg to the late Roland R. and Pauline E. (Thatcher) Houser.

Patsy was a member of the Conestoga Valley Church of Christ, Lancaster. She was a graduate of Rothsville High School. During her working years, she was a sewing supervisor for 34 years for the former Singing Needles, Scott and Kurt and Manheim Garment Company.

Patsy is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lou Cammauf and 2 brothers, Richard and Harold Houser.

A viewing will be held on Monday, February 20, from 10 to 11 am, at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 North Ninth Street, Akron, followed by her funeral service at 11 am, with Pastor Jeff Werkheiser officiating. Interment will take place in the Millport Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Patsy's memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P. O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604 or Conestoga Valley Church of Christ, 2045 Horseshoe Rd., Lancaster, PA 17602.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at the Gardens at Stevens and Hospice and Community Care for their compassionate care to Patsy during her illness.
