Richard H. "Bud" Loose, 86, of Denver, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

He was born in Schoeneck to the late Ivan Loose and Edna Hertzog and was the husband of Mary E. (Martzall) Loose, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.

He was a member of Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Prior to retiring in 2001, Richard worked as a concrete patcher for High Concrete.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by 4 children, Leon, husband of Getha Loose of Ocala, FL, Cindy, wife of Tom Ebersole of Schoeneck, Ricky, husband of Ginny Loose of Ephrata, and David, husband of Jo Loose of Denver; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and a half-sister.

A viewing will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017, from 10 to 11 am at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am, with Rev. Timothy L. Craven officiating. Interment will take place in the Muddy Creek Cemetery.
