Lena Zimmerman Zimmerman, 85, of Ephrata, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017, at home.

She was born in Ephrata to the late Noah W. and Elizabeth (Zimmerman) Burkholder and was the wife of Paul B. Zimmerman .

She was a member of Springville Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference).

Lena was a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, Lena is survived by 3 daughters, Irene, wife of Delmar Stauffer of Myerstown, Minerva, wife of Timothy Nolt of Denver, Ruth Elaine, wife of Roy Sensenig of Ephrata; a son, Paul, Jr., husband of Kendra (Lehman) Zimmerman of Ephrata; a daughter-in-law, Lynette, wife of Elam Hoover of Reading; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mary Martin of Richland, Edna Weaver of Manheim, Ella Zimmerman of Ephrata, Etta Martin of Holtwood; 4 brothers, Ivan, husband of Irene (Zimmerman) Burkholder of Akron, Harvey, husband of Jeanne (Shober) Burkholder of Ephrata, Norman Burkholder of Leola and Elvin Burkholder of Ephrata.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorraine B. Zimmerman; a son, Nelson B. Zimmerman; a granddaughter, Alana Zimmerman; a great-granddaughter, Diana Burkholder; 4 sisters, Alta Zimmerman, Anna Horst, Elizabeth Martin, Ada Snyder and 2 brothers, Noah Z. Burkholder, David Z. Burkholder.

A viewing will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, at the Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center, 352 Martindale Road, Martindale. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at 8:45 AM at Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center, with further services at 9:30 AM at the Springville Mennonite Church, 580 Springville Road, Ephrata, with Bishop Melvin Martin officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
