Obituary for Beverly Ann Adelizzi

Beverly Ann  Adelizzi
Beverly Ann Adelizzi, 81, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Maple Farm.

She was born in St. Marys, PA to the late Charles and Bertha (Eckert) Lyons and was the wife of Aristide "Ray" Adelizzi with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.

Beverly was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Lancaster. She was the first child in her family to go to college and graduated from Lock Haven University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She taught at Lititz Elementary for four years and then stayed home to raise her children. Beverly enjoyed ice skating in her early years, loved her grandchildren, watching Tiger Woods and reading. She was very loyal to her hometown and fiercely Irish.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Angela Adelizzi, wife of Edward Roth of Bayville, NJ, Matthew, husband of Angel Adelizzi of Lancaster, Timothy Adelizzi of Idaho Falls, ID; twelve grandchildren, Aerin, Nicole, Anthony, Emma, Abigail, Adriana, Logan, Aiden, Matthew, Angelo, Alexandra and Alexander; two great-granddaughters, Coraline and Timberly; a brother, Tom, husband of Donna Lyons and a sister, Susan, wife of Gary Weishaar.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Lyons.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017, from 6 to 8 pm, at Stradling Funeral Home, 30 N. 9th St., Akron. An additional viewing will take place on Friday, September 22, from 10 to 10:30 am, at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christina Burial at 11 am, at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 320 Church Avenue, Ephrata, with The Rev. Father John J. McLoughlin, C.SS.R. as celebrant. Final Commendation and Farewell will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Beverly's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org
