Neil H. Strickler, 83, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

Born in Penryn to the late Amos and Erma (Hollinger) Strickler, he was the husband of Vera (Waltz) Strickler who passed away on December 20, 2017. They had been married for 59 wonderful years.

Neil was a veteran of the United States Army and also served in the Pennsylvania National Guard. He was employed at ACME Markets for over 40 years before retiring and was a longtime member of Bergstrasse Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ephrata.
He enjoyed his morning coffee gatherings with friends, playing cards and spending time with his family.

Neil is survived by his sons, Scott and his wife, Marty, of Lakeland, FL, and John and his wife, Vicki, of Ephrata; his daughter, Sandy Krotowski and her husband, Stan, of Silverdale, PA; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Giera and her husband, James, Devon Strickler, Ryan Strickler, Matthew Krotowski and Megan Krotowski; a great-granddaughter, Grace Giera; two step-grandsons; and a brother, Clair Strickler of Ephrata.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Fay Kast and Joan Keller.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Bergstrasse Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9 Hahnstown Road, Ephrata followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Robert Kramer officiating. Interment will take place in the Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery immediately following the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Neil's memory may be made to Bergstrasse Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9 Hahnstown Road, Ephrata, PA. 17522 or the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA, 17603.
