A. Ruth Becker, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 23, 2013.

Ruth was the daughter of the late John G. Horning and late Lizzie G. (Sauder) Horning. She was the wife of the late Harry D. Becker.

Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed working with her husband and children on the family farm. She was the mother of six children, Sylvia, wife of the late Robert Trupe of Ephrata, Leonard, husband of Helen (Zimmerman) Becker of East Earl, Merle, husband of the late Janet (Brubaker) Becker of Kinzers, Daniel Becker of Ephrata, Mildred, wife of Ervin Zeiset of East Earl, Harry, husband of Sue (Burkholder) Becker of Narvon. She was the grandmother of 20 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her brother, Abner Horning and a sister Beatrice Sensenig. Also preceding her in death were twin grandsons and two great grandsons.

There will be a viewing on Tuesday, February 26 from 6 to 8 PM at the Martindale Mennonite Church, 171 Hurst Road, Ephrata. An additional viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 27 from 9 to 10 AM, followed by her funeral service at 10 AM. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
