I am so grateful to have known you. God blessed you with enormous artistic talent. You have inspired myself and countless others to pursue several types of painting. You taught your "students" with kindness, warmth, and humor. I am proud to be considered one of your students. You will be greatly missed. I wish you peace and lots of painting in heaven.

Sandra's artwork has been a gift to our community for many years and I am grateful for that. I appreciate her and her willingness to teach others about it. She will be missed as an artist and as a wonderful woman.

Pamela Gingrich Friend....
I am devastated by the loss of Sandy, as I am sure her family and many friends and co-workers are also. Sandy was a truly unique person, brilliant in so many ways. She was an excellent teacher, friend, worker. I met Sandy through the Distelfink Stenciler's, originally. She was so devoted to this craft and was responsible for many of my firsts. She took me to my first convention, in which we were bumped to first class on my first plane trip. I went overboard that year, which Sandy found amusing, as she had such a wonderful sense of humor and never showed any anger toward anyone. She taught her classes this way, forever helpful and giving and patient. She took care of her mother this way and spoke of her family always in loving terms. I grieve for her loss as it is such a great one. I feel so fortunate that I was able to talk to her to tell her that I loved her before her passing. She whispered that she loved me too and I feel she did. I am so grateful for any and all experiences that I was able to share with Sandy and with her mother. I am glad that Sandy had a wonderful sister and family to be with her throughout her illness and take care of her. I am so sorry for your loss.
