Obituary for Larry L. "JR" Bachman Jr.

Larry L. "JR" Bachman, 34, of San Diego, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at his residence.

He was born in Ephrata to Larry L., husband of Nancy Bachman of Stevens and Lee Ann, wife of Randy Martin of Elizabethtown.

JR earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of California, San Diego where he was currently working as a neuromuscular therapist. He was also self employed as a massage therapist. JR was an amazing young man, but a kid at heart. He loved to play with and teach his nieces and nephews and they adored him. He found simple beauty in the world around him and his smile would light up a room. JR loved to travel the world, taking lots of amazing pictures and making many friends along the way. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents and step parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Alta Bachman of Ephrata; 2 sisters, Beth Bachman of Ephrata, Angie, wife of John Rios of Denver; nieces and nephews, Brianna, Madison, Trey, Kylie, Isabel and Ashley and step brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Abe Wambold, husband of Vivian Wambold, and maternal grandmother, Dorothy Wambold.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 10 to 11 am, at the Bible Fellowship Church, 491 Peach Rd., Ephrata, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11 am, with Pastors Dan Allen and Jason Hoy officiating.
