Ella N. Kilmer, 70, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at her residence, after an 18 month illness.

She was born in Earl Township to the late Samuel and Ada (Newswanger) Hoover and was the wife of Ezra Z. Kilmer, Jr., with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.

Ella was a member of the Groffdale Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference).

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 4 daughters, Elsie Kilmer at home, Ada, wife of Steve Beiler of Lancaster, Edna Kilmer at home, Eva, wife of Nelson Fox of Memphis, TN; 9 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Harvey, husband of Martha Hoover of Liberty, KY, David, husband of Alta Hoover of Ephrata; a brother-in-law, Ammon Martin of Mifflinburg and a sister-in-law, Mary Hoover of Ephrata.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Frank and Jonas Hoover; 2 sisters, Mary Martin and Lena Reiff.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 16, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, at the late residence, 481 S. Farmersville Rd., Ephrata. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 17, at 9 am, at the late residence, with further services at 9:30 am, at the Groffdale Mennonite Church, 168 N, Groffdale Rd., Leola, with Bishop Ammon Weaver officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
