I only knew Evelyn for about 3 years, but I have fond memories of talking with her, laughing with her. I enjoyed watching Evelyn's eyes widen with delight when we had anything chocolatey on our menu!
It was difficult for those of us who worked with Evelyn to see her decline in health. I am sure it was even harder for you, her family and friends. I sat with her for about 20 minutes on Sunday afternoon and reassured her that she was loved. She seemed at peace.
I thank God for the opportunity I had to know Evelyn. Although you grieve the loss of your mother, grandmother....may happy memories ease the pain.
