Howbeit, a lifetime ago it seems, when Kathy & I were in college, I had the privilege of being in the Gerhart home. Mrs Gerhart was a very hospitable person, making sure that her daughter's friend was well-fed and had all she needed. She and Mr Gerhart were always good to me and more importantly struck up a friendship with my father. He always enjoyed the occasions when we were all together.. They both laughed at his very corny jokes. She had a servant's heart and was always thinking of others. Just wish I had a photo to share of those days.
