I will always remember George's beautiful voice and his often bemused expressions at what was going on around him.  I met George during my first year at Drew Theological School (he was in his third and final year), and especially remember our choir trip to South Korea.

It was George who also brought me to the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church.  At his suggestion, I called David Myers, the District Superintendent of the Lancaster District, and subsequently received my first appointment in the EPA conference at Mt Hope UMC in Southern Lancaster County in 1988.  

My condolences to and prayers for his family, especially Susan, Jennifer and Amy.
